Upcoming Events
What the crew is showing up for next. Some of it happens on our floor. Most of it happens because somebody in a class talked everybody else into signing up.
Ruckhouse is a gym, but the calendar is the real product. Below is what is open to the public at 1290 University Ave, plus the races our members are already registered for. You do not have to be a member to come to any of it, and you do not have to be fast to sign up for the races.
At the gym
Ruck “Open” House: Saturday, October 17
We are opening the doors for anyone and everyone to come in for a sweat with us. Free, no membership, no sign-up fee. Four classes back to back, so pick the one that fits your morning:
| Time | Class | What it is |
|---|---|---|
| 8:15 AM | H.I.T. Strength | Our signature level-one class |
| 9:15 AM | H.I.T. Strength | Same class, later start |
| 10:15 AM | Athletic Mobility | Injury prevention and better movement |
| 11:15 AM | Wolfpack | A fan favorite full-body workout |
Holiday Lip Sync Battle: Saturday, December 12, 6 to 10 PM
This is the one people bring their families to. You do not have to be in the battle to attend, and it is all fun and games until “The Band” hits the stage. Ask at the front desk if you want to get on the performer list.
Crew outings
Verhulst Haunted Hayride: Saturday, October 17, 6 PM
Same day as the Open House, twelve hours apart, which feels about right. Hayride, walk-through attraction, and a haunted corn maze at 5161 W Ridge Rd in Spencerport. $32, cash only, paid at the gate. Sign up free in the Ruckhouse app first so we have a head count.
Races the crew is running
These are not our events, we just keep showing up at them in large numbers. If you see one you want, tell a coach and we will build it into your training. Prices and details are what was posted when we checked, so confirm with the race before you register.

We also host our own competitions
Ruckhouse is a DEKA Affiliate, which means official DEKA STRONG and DEKA MILE events run right on our floor and in our lot, with real zones, real judges, and real medals. See how the last one went on the DEKA events page.
Show up once
Every event on this page started with somebody walking in for one class and deciding they liked the people. That is still the whole on-ramp.
